Automotive Floor Pan Replacement — 1950 Ford Custom
For this project, we restored the structural integrity of a classic 1950 Ford Custom by removing and replacing the vehicle’s deteriorated floor pans. Decades of moisture and corrosion had compromised the original sheet metal, leaving the interior unsafe and structurally weak. The owner wanted the vehicle brought back to solid, factory-quality condition while preserving its classic character.
We began by carefully cutting out the rusted floor sections and inspecting the surrounding bracing, body mounts, and rockers to ensure all supporting metal was sound. New floor pans were then precisely trimmed, shaped, and test-fitted to match the contours of the Ford’s original design. Once aligned, each panel was welded in place using clean, strong seams that replicate OEM-style attachment points.
All welds were dressed and sealed, and the new pans were coated with a rust-resistant finish for long-term durability. The result is a clean, solid foundation ready for interior installation and future restoration steps.
This project showcases our ability to perform detailed automotive metalwork, blending craftsmanship with structural precision to keep classic vehicles roadworthy for decades to come.
