Custom Trailer Spare Tire Holder Fabrication

For this project, we fabricated a custom steel spare-tire holder to give the client a secure and convenient way to carry a spare on their trailer. The trailer originally had no designated mounting location, leaving the spare tire stored loosely and taking up valuable cargo space. The client needed a durable, permanent solution that would keep the tire accessible while withstanding road vibration and outdoor conditions.

We designed a heavy-duty mount built from welded steel tubing and plate, tailored to the trailer’s frame dimensions and the specific wheel size. The holder features a reinforced backing plate, a center spindle-style mount for proper wheel support, and a locking plate to keep the tire firmly in place. It was positioned to allow easy access without interfering with cargo, jack operation, or turning clearance.

After fabrication, all welds were cleaned, inspected, and coated with a weather-resistant finish to protect against rust and road debris. The finished spare tire holder provides the client with a secure, professional-grade mounting solution that improves safety, convenience, and organization on the road.
